We Were Wanderers On A Prehistoric Earth

3 Feb

When I think of planning a vacation, rarely do I think of trekking through a dense forest with a machete in a far away land. I am more of a city adventurer, or sand in my toes holding an ice cold Tecate kind of guy. However, the concept for this tourism video is awesome.  Commissioned by Tourism Malaysia, We Were Wanderers On A Prehistoric Earth, is an ode to the incredible flora and fauna of Malaysia. James W. Griffiths cinematography is superb and captures some magnificent shots of the host country. The musical score, chosen by Lennert Busch, paired with the narration (of excerpts) of Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness really sets a dramatic and powerful tone. Rated simply as a segment of film, this is incredible. Given that this is a promotional piece makes it close to exceptional. Enjoy!

Wow, this video is amazing. I’ve never read “Heart of Darkness”, but I think I may have to now. I love hiking, and traveling, and this video made me want to buy a ticket to Malaysia! Thanks for sharing!
